A typical LED bulb is designed to work with **DC (Direct Current)**. However, most household LED bulbs are designed to work with **AC (Alternating Current)**, which is what your homeβs electrical system uses.
To make this work, an LED bulb has a built-in **driver circuit** that converts the AC from the power outlet into DC before it powers the LED chip. So, while the LED itself operates on DC, the bulb you use at home is made to handle AC power, thanks to the driver inside.
