What is the difference between AC (Alternating Current) and DC (Direct Current)?
Direct Current (DC): The flow of electric charge is in one constant direction. Sources include batteries, solar cells, and DC power supplies. It is mainly used in electronics, charging, and low-voltage applications.
Alternating Current (AC): The flow of electric charge reverses direction periodically. It is generated by power plants and supplied to homes and industries. AC is preferred for power transmission because it can be easily transformed to higher or lower voltages using transformers, reducing energy loss.
